We Tried to Hydrate and It Got Worse

We tried to hydrate… and somehow made it worse.

This week we tested out Sierra Nevada Hop Splash (which may or may not have been questionable) before recovering with Lagunitas Blood Orange Hoppy Refresher — a reminder that hop water can, in fact, be good.

From there, things went exactly how you’d expect.

We break down the new Street Fighter trailer, where Bryan once again battles the pronunciation of David Dastmalchian’s name while giving him props for roles in The Suicide Squad, MacGyver, and Ant-Man.

Conor and DAMN Geena saw Project Hail Mary and confirmed that yes — Ryan Gosling continues to be Ryan Gosling.

Then we ask some very important questions:

•  Could a non-alcoholic Malört exist… and would it somehow be worse? 
•  Should American Gladiators come back with an MXC-style twist? 
•  And should Bryan fully commit to cosplaying as Skanky? 

We also sneak in some LEGO talk, because at this point it’s required.

Uh, this set pushed Lego engineering to a new level uh with working steering suspension, gearbox, and drivetrain. Oh, wow. Things far beyond the typical uh builds of the era. So like, and that one was very kind of like the early versions, I think the technique technique type stuff. Yeah. Uh in the 2000s, you had the UCS or the Ultimate Collectors uh um or whatever the hell UCS uh it's like I don't know. Ultimate collectors set, I think is what it is. Okay, uh but the Millennium Falcon, uh, which is the largest Lego set ever made at that time. Uh the Falcon proved Lego wasn't just for kids anymore. Uh sealed copies now sell for$2,500 or more. Oh my god. Uh in 2010, uh the the town hall, uh the modular line was born from uh the AFOL or adult fans of Lego uh asking Lego for something better. The town hall was Lego uh Legos. That one's plural. Yeah, so it's yes, it's still just Lego because they own it. Yeah. Uh uh answers uh to uh how far they could take it. In the 2020s, the Lion uh Knights Castle, a modern classic built on nostalgia, combines vintage uh magic with modern techniques design. And I remember having a lot of the knight stuff too when I too was growing up, but yeah, like that was an interesting little um thing. Uh okay, yeah, here we go. Six facts that prove Lego is quietly running the world. So we got fact number one, and we just discussed this. Lego is the largest tire manufacturer on the planet, not Michelin, not Bridgestone, Lego, producing over 400 million tiny tires every single year. Amazing. Uh fact number two. A Lego brick made in 1958 fits perfectly on one made today.

So Lego equals play well. Interesting. Yeah. Uh fact number five. Uh even though Lego almost went bankrupt in the early 2000s, uh, what went wrong is they had too many sets. Uh Lego had too many uh product lines and sets confusing customers and stretching the business thin. Uh the rising costs expanding too fast and high operating costs led to a huge losses year after year. Uh sales declined. By the year early 2000s, profits had disappeared, and Lego uh future was in serious danger. Wow. And then uh also near collapse in 2003. Lego reported of uh reported massive losses and came dangerously close to bankruptcy. Now look at them.
